Toru Ishikawa

Toru Ishikawa is a 17-year-old male third-year student at Katagiri Senior High School and Izumi Miyamura's best friend in Horimiya. Tall and athletic with distinctive purple hair, he is the most grounded member of the friend group — the straight man reacting to absurdity with exasperated common sense. One of the few who knows Miyamura's secrets, he covers for his friend with increasingly absurd excuses. He has acrophobia, is tormented by vivid cat-eared dreams of his friends, and has been childhood friends with Shuu Iura since elementary school. Jealous but loyal, he is the group's reliable anchor.
