Theresia van Astrea was the previous Sword Saint and grandmother of Reinhard in *Re:Zero*. A woman of impossible kindness born with the Divine Protection of the Death God, she refused to fight as her brothers died in her place during the Demi-Human War. She fell in love with Wilhelm van Astrea at first sight, found the will to wield her sword to protect him, and ended the war despite her gentle heart. She was the wife of Wilhelm, mother of Heinkel, and grandmother of Reinhard – a woman who loved flowers and gave everything for her family.
