Meili Portroute is a female witchbeast tamer and former assassin in Re:Zero. Found as a feral child by Elsa Granhiert and trained under Mother Capella, she controls witchbeasts through her Divine Protection and uses her innocent appearance to deceive targets. She served as a hidden antagonist before being captured. After attempting vengeance against Subaru, she was offered forgiveness and now serves the Emilia Camp. On the surface meek and shy, she is a hardened girl who genuinely loves witchbeasts and is fiercely loyal to those who accept her.
